Mountain Bike Skills Sessions (Bend, Oregon)

from $90.00
Types:

Learn new mountain bike skills in a safe, progressive way with focused, one-on-one instruction.

These sessions are designed to help you feel more confident, in control, and capable on your bike. I’ll help you understand what’s actually happening and give you clear, specific feedback so you can make real changes quickly. I’ll meet you where you are and help you build from there, step by step.

Sessions may include things like body position, balance, weight transfer, and small adjustments to your bike to better suit your riding. We might work on cornering, braking, pedaling efficiency, gear selection, cadence, and line choice. Depending on your level, we can also spend time on pump tracks, navigating local trails, and working through features like rock formations, technical lines, skinny logs, and small drop-offs.

My background is in cross-country and endurance mountain biking, with over 20 years of riding and coaching experience. I focus on helping you build skills in a way that feels doable and successful, creating good habits that become second nature on the bike. I want you to come away from each session with a clear set of skills you can practice on your own, so you can keep progressing with confidence and take your riding where you want it to go.

I work with adults of all ages and abilities, as well as kids who are comfortable riding and pedaling on their own.

Session Length: 1 hour
Location: Phil’s Trailhead or nearby trails based on your level
Who it’s for: Kids and adults, beginner through intermediate
Format: Private (1–2 riders)

Availability: Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday sessions available
