Imaginative Art Sessions

A space to explore the unseen through art and creative practice.

Imaginative Art sits at the crossroads of fine art, depth-informed practice, and lived creative exploration.

Sessions provide an opportunity for you to explore your inner world in a contained one-on-one setting. Together, we'll examine the themes of your life through discussion, art-making, and dream exploration.

My courses, free resources, and Imaginative Inner Work meditations introduce you to practices you can explore on your own. They’re a way to experiment, reflect, and build your own relationship with imagination. In sessions, we take this work deeper.

  • Imaginative Art Sessions are for exploring creativity as a path of self-discovery. They can be especially helpful for:

    • Deepening self-expression beyond technique or skill

    • Reconnecting with creativity in a personal, meaningful way

    • Exploring the imagery of dreams, emotions, or recurring symbols

    • Working with imagination as a guide for insight and integration

This work is therapeutic in nature, but it is not clinical therapy. Rather than diagnosing or fixing, it’s about creating space to listen, express, and discover.

  • My work is rooted in the modern art tradition that treats creativity as a form of discovery. I also draw from the psychology of Carl Jung, whose practices of active imagination and dreamwork shape how I engage the unconscious as a creative partner. Mindfulness, Yoga Nidra, and Judith Blackstone’s Realization Process bring in the grounding element of embodiment, helping translate insight into lived experience.

  • Each session offers a guided space for creative exploration and reflection. We begin with a check-in, then move into practices such as intuitive art or imaginal work with dreams and symbols.

You’re welcome to record and bring your recent dreams as a starting point. We can also work with recurring images or a persistent emotional state. If you have a good understanding of your psychological history, we can work with childhood memories. Any of these can serve as an entryway as we follow what arises in the moment.

  • Every session unfolds differently, but people often report experiencing:

    • Access to personal imagery and symbols (connecting with your own creative source)

    • A deeper sense of trust in your inner process and imagination

    • Fresh insight into recurring dreams, patterns, or life themes

    • Renewed flow and enjoyment in creative practices like art or journaling

    • A felt sense of meaning that bridges inner experience with daily life

These benefits tend to accumulate over time, as the relationship with your imagination becomes more familiar and trusted.

  • Online via Zoom.

  • You don’t need to be an artist or have any prior art-making experience. These sessions meet you where you are, using supplies you already have.

If you are an artist, we can focus specifically on the medium of your choice and unlocking your own unique inner content.
